About This Spot

Stepping into Ciro’s Ristorante & Pizzeria in Indio feels like settling into an unhurried evening with familiar friends. The soft, dim lighting casts a warm, almost nostalgic glow, inviting you to unwind and savor not just a meal, but a moment away from the everyday rush. It’s the kind of neighborhood spot where the pace is easy, service is attentive without pressure, and the focus is quietly on food that comforts and satisfies.

The atmosphere hints at decades of shared stories and return visits—a local place where generations have gathered around well-worn tables, plates brimming with hearty Italian favorites. There’s an understated charm here, a space that doesn’t clamour for attention but quietly welcomes you in with classic scents of garlic, fresh dough, and bubbling cheese.

Walking through the menu feels like a journey through home-style reinterpretations of Italian staples. Whether it's a slice of perfectly baked pizza topped just right, a beautifully sauced pasta, or the fresh warmth of a bread basket shared with friends, each bite carries a sense of familiarity and care. The dishes invite you to slow down, to savor the layers of flavor in everything from a lively shrimp scampi to a rich, cheesy lasagna. Even the lighter offerings, like their crisp salads or the gentle comfort of minestrone, balance the menu’s heartier side with grace.

What sets Ciro's apart is how it wears its old-school roots softly. It doesn’t rely on flash or fuss but builds its character through generous portions, honest flavors, and the kind of friendly, easy service that makes you feel known without fanfare. Whether you’re stopping by for a late dinner or a casual family gathering, the vibe encourages connection — placing food and conversation front and center.

In all, Ciro’s is a quietly dependable spot on California’s Highway 111, where the glow of simple pleasures—pizza pulled from a hot oven, a rich plate of pasta, a well-made salad—reminds you why these recipes have endured. It’s a welcome pause, a familiar smile, and a comforting meal all rolled into one.

Fulldistance Going 08 Dec 2025

The reason I pulled out one star was because the lighting inside was so dim and it looked like as if the restaurant was going out of biz. However, once the food arrived I felt better. The Eggplant parmigiana was excellent - really flavorful. The pizzas were excellent as well. The spaghetti and meatball - Kid’s menu was a decent portion and tasty. The service was fast and friendly. Our order for drinks and dinner was taken prolly and the food arrived within 20 minutes. I wish the interior decor was more inviting and appealing. Other than that give this place a shot- you will enjoy your food.

Classic old school Italian restaurant with amazing food. Everything on the menu is terrific. Some of my favorites are the antipasto salad, the meatball pizza and the chicken parmigiana. The service is great, the portions are huge and the prices are fantastic. Try it, you’ll love it.

Eggplant parm is tasty and fried well. Very thin pieces. Pasta is very saucy and cheesy. This might not be the best Italian food you can get but it’s tasty and for the price it’s a great meal.

They have great lunch specials, and this place has a real old school vibe. I went with the Spaghetti and Meat Balls, which came with a salad a garlic bread. In this economy, places like these are invaluable.
